It has become clear from comments on energeticcity.ca (http://energeticcity.ca/fortstjohn/news/07/10/10/hundreds-attend-paddle-peace-protest-against-site-c-dam) that there are many people who are not familiar with where the water level will be for the proposed Site C reservoir.

A Google earth tour of the proposed Site C reservoir can be done by downloading the appropriate files from the PVEA website at http://www.peacevalley.ca/sitec/about.  All of the information has been obtained from BC Hydro’s own data, from their Thurber report (1976). The files contain overlays that show the proposed flooding at an elevation of 1510 and also show the land impacted up to BC Hydro’s safeline.

The information was obtained from the actual maps in BC Hydro’s Thurber report (1976) which can be viewed online at https://keepingthepeace.wordpress.com/site-c-info/sloughing/.
