Dear PVEA Supporters,

Thank you so much to all of you for supporting PVEA’s 2nd Annual BC Rivers’ Day Wooden Boat Race! We sold 30% more boats than last year! This was a great opportunity to gather at the river’s edge on a gorgeous fall day to celebrate BC’s most endangered river.

Thank you to all those who contributed to the bake sale for this event. Thanks also to those who contributed to the prizes including: Ken and Arlene Boon, Ruth Ann Darnall, Guy and Mary of Hudson’s Hope Honey, Larry and Joan Evans; Neil and Loni Evans, Don Hoffmann, George Richmond of Tiger Printers, Margaret Holmes, Charles and Ester Steiner of Northern Larder, Amy Meyer and the Kok’s!

We had lots of winners at the event, including:
1st place boat: Eleana and Matthew Morison-Norrish – family photo shoot with Don Hoffmann
2nd place boat: Bonnie Martin – box of North Peace produce
3rd place boat: Jill Copes- box of North Peace produce
Last boat : Don Neilson –basket of preserves donated by Larry and Joanie Evans
Oldest attending: Neil Thompson – potatoes donated by the Evans
Youngest attending: Romeo and Molly (Gord and Lois Harris’ grandchildren) – potatoes donated by the Evans
Participant from farthest away: Malcolm from England (Nick’s friend) – willow walking stick and candle holder

We appreciate your on-going support – we couldn’t do it without you! 🙂
